Law Number 8 of 2019 regulates the organization of Hajj and Umrah, including provisions for Umrah and Hajj travel agencies
This law aims to provide protection, services, and guidance for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
Some key provisions in Law Number 8 of 2019 regarding Umrah and Hajj travel agencies include:
- 1. Umrah travel agencies must provide a religious guide for every 45 pilgrims.
- 2. Umrah travel agencies must offer services for travel documents, accommodation, meals, and transportation.
- 3. Umrah travel agencies must have a cooperation agreement with healthcare facilities in Saudi Arabia.
- 4. Umrah travel agencies must report to the Indonesian Representative in Saudi Arabia.
- 5. Umrah travel agencies must submit a report to the Minister no later than 10 days after returning to Indonesia.
If fraud is committed by a Hajj/Umrah travel agency, the perpetrators can be prosecuted under criminal law.
